Carly Simon & Beauty from the Inside-Out

Life is really so COOL! Lindsay and I had the opportunity to do a presentaion to a group of mothers and middle school aged daughers last week. (pics and more info will be up on the website soon http://www.onpurposeplace.com/) I talked about skin care and beauty from the inside~out. Lindsay was the photographer taking portraits of the moms and daughters, and my brother John from Hunters Ambulance did a talk about teen safety. We all had a great time! I would like to thank John and the ladies from Rushford asking us to participate. I will update with a website to go to for information about the Mother/Daughter Evenings Out they provide to the Meriden/ Wallingford community.

From this night came the inspiration for my next BIG project. I am starting to gather facts and details for a Womens Natural Health and Healing Workshop in the Fall of '09. All the profits will be donated to support the Avon Breast Cancer Event in NYC the second weekend of Oct.'09 in Memory of Chinelcie (Brandi )Cole. Brandi was(and still is in my heart) a perfect example of Beauty from the Inside-Out. Her long, very courageous, battle with cancer may have ended but the lessons, inspiration, laughter and love will live in any life she touched.

Brandi's two amazing daughters will be walking this walk. And boy what walk!! The have already had to start training for this 39 mile, overnight event. What a tribute to their mom that they are so dedicated to giving back!
